Hollywood, home of the US movie industry, is all about the glitz and glamour of the Los Angeles dream, with expensive houses spread across an area that is home to the rich and famous.
A visit to Hollywood during your USA rail tour gives you chance to stroll in the footsteps of the stars on the Walk of Fame, where gold stars honour Hollywood's famous (and many forgotten) names on Hollywood Boulevard, one of America's most famous streets. Celebrity houses and a number of movie studios line the route that leads to the ocean.
Sunset Strip, part of the longer Sunset Boulevard, runs through West Hollywood and is packed with upmarket boutiques, bars, restaurants and clubs. Rodeo Drive, meanwhile, is home to some of the most exclusive shopping boutiques around and is one of the places you are most likely to see celebrities. The street is permanently lined with some of the world's most expensive cars, and brands like Tiffany's, Chanel and Versace are all located on Rodeo Drive.
