We explore the half-timbered houses and peaks of the Harz Mountains by railway and discover the natural beauty of the Rhine Gorge, where the legendary Lorelei Rock still casts its spell.THE BROCKEN RAILWAYImmerse yourself in the landscapes of the spectacular Harz Mountains as we discover them in the best way possible, from our vintage 1920s seats travelling along the beautiful Brocken Railway. We journey in a private carriage to the highest peak in the mountain range, Brocken, where we're greeted with wonderful views of the Brocken Plateau, and a remarkable botanical garden, dating back to the 1800s.The journey to the summit is an attraction in itself. Travelling in carefully restored vintage carriages, we soak up timeless landscapes from the large windows as our train climbs. We admire glittering rivers, quaint stations and dense forests, as steam from the train evaporates and drifts over the tree tops.
