Indian Pacific crosses the vast continent of Australia, with a few scheduled stops along the way in some of the country's most famous outback towns, where passengers can undertake optional tours.
During the rail journey we travel in Gold Service accommodation. Twin cabins feature a three-seater lounge which converts to upper and lower berths at night, as well as en suite facilities with a WC, washbasin and shower. Single cabins include a lounge chair by day that converts to a single berth at night and a washbasin. Shower and WC facilities are available at the end of each carriage for single passengers. All cabins are fully serviced by carriage attendants and passengers enjoy complimentary toiletries and towels.
The Gold Service fare includes all meals during the journey, which are served in the Restaurant Car. The meals are freshly prepared by the on-board chefs and menus feature a selection of Australian and international cuisine. (Drinks are not included.) Gold Service passengers also have access to the on-board Gold Lounge and its licensed bar - the perfect place to socialise with your fellow rail travellers.
