Travel from London to Zurich for the beginning of your special journey. On arrival in Zurich you'll take the train from the airport to Montreux, a pretty lakeside resort at the foot of the mountains that's long attracted artists, musicians and writers to its laidback atmosphere and breath-taking scenery.

Rail London - Montreux

Alternatively, travel by rail all the way from London. Catch the Eurostar from London St Pancras and enjoy a smooth and speedy ride to Paris Nord. Travel from Paris Gare de Lyon to Geneva and from Geneva onto Montreux.

On arrival in Montreux, you'll be transferred to your hotel for the night, either 4* or 5*, on a B&B basis.

Famous for its annual jazz festival, the pretty Swiss town of Montreux sits on the banks of Lake Geneva, allowing for walks along its promenade and fantastic views over the lake and mountains. Famous actors and musicians have called the resort town their home, and it's easy to see why. The medieval castle, Château de Chillon, built on a rock right on the shores of the lake, is the most visited historical building in all of Switzerland. Enjoy a free day wandering around the town, or choose from an optional excursion which are bookable at a supplement.

Day 3 – The Golden Pass

After a free morning in Montreux, you'll take the Golden Pass Express through the heart of Switzerland's enchanting landscapes. This magical train reveals the country's diverse beauty as passengers enjoy panoramic windows that display lush valleys, serene lakes, charming villages, and majestic mountains. You'll arrive later in the afternoon to Interlaken, the gateway of adventure in the heart of the Bernese Oberland region, where you'll be transferred to your hotel for the night. Choose between 4* and 5* hotels on a B&B basis.

Enjoy a free day in Interlaken, the town between two lakes, and have a wander around this quiet town with spectacular views, and shop for souvenirs in the local shops. For the best of the views, take the funicular up Harder Kulm where the scenes are breath-taking. Take a boat ride on the lake, or take a stroll through the park. Or, choose one of your optional excursions which are bookable at a supplement.

Day 5 – The Lucerne Interlaken Express

Your journey continues today aboard the Lucerne Interlaken Express to Lucerne. This magical train journey connects the charming towns of Interlaken and Lucerne in the most picturesque way. Departing from Interlaken, the train takes you on a scenic adventure of breathtaking views including rolling hills, serene mountain lakes, and majestic peaks, all the way to the medieval town of Lucerne. Once you reach Lucerne, you'll be transferred to your hotel. Choose between 4* and 5* hotels on a B&B basis.

Day 6 – Lake Lucerne

Make the most of your free day in Lucerne by exploring the streets of this fascinating medieval city. There's a lot of history here, including museums and monuments, but some of the buildings and streets are also historic in themselves and the Chapel Bridge over the River Reuss was built in 1332. Visit one of the towns chocolate shops and watch stores, for some unique gifts.

Day 7 – Lucerne to the UK

Flight from Zurich to London

Your magical journey ends today as you take the train from Lucerne back to Zurich. Savour the views along the way, soaking up the scenery one last time, and then take your flight from Zurich airport back to the UK.

Rail Lucerne - London

Alternatively, make the entire journey by rail. Take the train from Lucerne to Basel, then Basel to Paris Gare de Lyon. Lastly, you'll travel from Paris Nord on the Eurostar, all the way back to London St Pancras.
