The Train

Boasting the title of Ireland's first luxury rail experience, the Belmond Grand Hiberian is a spectacular way to see the stunning 'Emerald Isle'. Decorated in a style that harkens to its sister trains, including the Belmond Venice-Simplon Orient Express and the Belmond British Pullman, an exquisitely relaxing and luxurious time is guaranteed on a fabulous Irish adventure.

The Carriages

Each carriage on the train is decorated in refreshingly light colours, with touches of Irish tartan to immerse the traveller in the traditions of the country through which you travel. The large observation car is filled with large windows and comfortable seating. It is the perfect area to sit with a drink, and view the passing scenery with your fellow passengers. The en-suite cabins are situated in carriages that are named after a different Irish county - a detail that lends itself to the tartan décor of each room.

Journeys

From Belfast to Dublin and all of the stunning scenes in between, the Belmond Grand Hibernian winds its way through the Irish countryside, taking you on a discovery of this magnificent isle. Explore Belfast, visiting the Titanic Experience and aquainting yourself with the city in a Black Taxi, and discover Waterford - home to Curraghmore House as well as Waterford Crystal. In the evening, lose yourself in the jaunty rhythms and lively sounds of traditional Irish music, played after a delicious dinner in the observation car.

Dining

Boasting of two equally excellent dining carts, Sligo and Wexford, enjoy some of the finest cuisine that Ireland has to offer. Whilst Sligo is decorated in a contemporary Georgian feel, taking its inspiration from the traditional architecture of Dublin, Wexford has a far more Celtic twist, with tweeds and motifs that harken back to Irelands more ancient past. Here, savour cuisine prepared by the excellent team of on-board chefs, made with fresh local ingredients, from delicately flavoured smoked fish, to strong and creamy cheeses.
