A division of Great Rail Journeys, UK's leading operator of holidays by rail
The MS Marco Polo has a small capacity of just 800 passengers and offering a more exclusive cruising experience. Unlike most cruise ships, the size of the MS Marco Polo allows it to enter into many of small ports and harbours in the destinations we visit.
Dining on board
Dining on board is an experience to be savoured, with many fantastic dishes to experience. The main dining room is the elegant Waldorf Restaurant. Here you can enjoy a varied choice of cuisine at each meal - from full English breakfasts to leisurely five-course lunches and delightful dinners. Breakfast and lunch are generally served on an open-seating basis, meaning you can eat whenever you choose, and dinner takes place over two fixed-time settings each evening. In addition to the main dining arrangements, the casual Marco's restaurant is a great alternative, with fantastic ocean views. Here all meals are served in a buffet style.
Leisure Facilities
MS Marco Polo offers a comprehensive range of leisure facilities to help you make the most of your free time. Many passengers relax after a day's sightseeing in one of the lounges. Each lounge offers something different; the Palm Garden is popular in the daytime, whereas the Captain's Club with its resident pianist comes alive in the early evenings. The Marco Polo Lounge offers theatre-style entertainment, and Scott's Bar is open until the early hours.
The ship also features the Jade Wellness Centre, which has a great array of gym equipment as well as a spa and sauna. There is also a salon, offering a wide choice of relaxing massages and beauty treatments, in addition to an outdoor swimming pool and three whirlpools.
Other leisure facilities include a well-stocked library, an internet café, a popular shopping arcade and the Nansen Card Room - perfect for honing your Bridge skills.
