A division of Great Rail Journeys, UK's leading operator of holidays by rail
The brand new, deluxe 5-star ship MS AmaPrima offers
state-of-the-art public rooms and elegant cabins, which, combined
with included excursions, quality cuisine and wine with dinner,
will make your cruise memorable. MS AmaPrima is one of the
few river-cruise vessels to have its own heated swimming pool,
located on the sun deck, with a fantastic 'swim-up' bar. MS
AmaPrima also introduces the 'twin-balcony' concept in some
cabins, with fully opening French windows and a separate walk-out
balcony.
Cabins
There are 82 exquisitely decorated cabins offering all the
amenities of a fine hotel with plush white-on-white bedding, a
sitting area, hairdryer, safe, terry bathrobes, and individually
controlled air-conditioning. The cabins have either twin or double
beds. Category E and D cabins have a fixed window. Category C
cabins have full-length French windows. Category B and A cabins
have twin balconies. All cabins include an in-built entertainment
system which provides music, films, TV and internet access.
Public Rooms & Facilities
The vessel's many amenities include a wellness area, a fitness
room, massage and beauty salon. The main bar and lounge has
comfortable sofas and chairs and offers nightly entertainment and a
dance floor. There is also a delightful wine bar. The ship also
boasts a convenient glass lift between some decks. The large Sun
Deck has plenty of loungers upon which to relax, a heated swimming
pool (with swim-up bar), whirlpool and a jogging track.
Dining
Dining on board is a truly superb experience. There is a choice of
dining options: in addition to the main dining room, there is also
the intimate Chef's Table restaurant, and a more casual 'al fresco
bistro'. During the day, lavish gourmet breakfast buffets include a
rich assortment of pastries, fresh fruit and more traditional
dishes and are followed by mouth-watering lunches with homemade
soups, a selection of main courses and desserts. In the evening,
you will enjoy a four-course dinner, with a selection of menu
choices, or a traditional theme night with a range of regional
specialities. Complimentary wine is included every evening with
dinner.
Throughout the day, complimentary tea and coffee are available in
the lounge.
There are Captain's Welcome and Farewell Receptions where a jacket
for men and ladies' equivalent is recommended.
