A division of Great Rail Journeys, UK's leading operator of holidays by rail
The intimate 3-star hotel-barge Anacoluthe is a combination of old world charm and modern comforts. The emphasis on the cruise is relaxation, gastronomy and scenery. Gently cruising through the tranquil waters of France, you'll find that this delightful vessel is a particularly civilised way to take in the charming scenery unfolding before you at a deliberately leisurely pace.
Dining
Superb meals are freshly prepared by the ship's excellent
chefs, and served in the well-appointed dining room. Large aspect
windows treat you to magnificent views as you enjoy meals that
rival the best local restaurants. Enjoy a buffet breakfast, full
luncheon or a buffet lunch and four-course gastronomic dinners. The
ship prides itself on its selection of regional wines, which are
served with lunch and dinner and included in the price of your
cruise. Throughout the course of the week dinners will follow a
regional theme, with the menu, cheese and wine originating from a
specific region of France.
Public Rooms &
Facilities
The interior provides old world charm in the piano bar
and the lounge - complete with a small library and games room -
whilst panoramic windows give all-round views of the passing
scenery. For your comfort, the ship is fully air conditioned and
centrally heated, and also offers a small exercise room. On deck,
there is ample space for you to relax with sun loungers available.
Anacoluthe has an on deck whirlpool,
which is the perfect place from which to watch the world gently
float by.
Cabins
Anacoluthe offers 25
comfortable twin bedded cabins. All of which are situated on
the Lower Deck. All cabins have en suite facilities, including a
private shower, WC and washbasin.
An award-winning ship
Anacoluthe is a firm favourite among Great Rail Journeys
customers, and has won a number of Great Rail Journeys awards over
the last few years. Based solely on customer feedback, Anacoluthe
has won the GRJ Gold Award for Food in the France category three
times, most recently in 2013. In 2012, the ship won the Silver
Award for 'Best Accommodation in the France & Benelux
Region'.
