What a magnificent hotel - mighty walls, enchanted corners, hidden recesses and all the hallmarks that complement a sprinkling of medieval magic. The Schlosshotel Rosenegg retains a unique charm, complete with turrets and suits of armour, yet meets the modern requirements of a 4-star hotel.
Originally built in 1187, Schloss Rosenegg has withstood the ravages of history and the mists of time. Over the centuries, so many historical figures have been hosted at the Schlosshotel, such as the last Countess of Tyrol, the Grand Duchesse Margarethe Maultasch, the Emperor Napoleon and Nostradamus. Between 1555 and 1760, the Rosenberger barons rules and created the Pillersee Iron and Steel Works which really put the town of Fieberbrunn on the map as the entire Habsburg lance collection was produced in the Pillersee Valley.
In 1938 the castle was converted into a hotel and has been in the hand of the Eberhardt family for 3 generations. Situated within walking distance of Fieberbrunn's village centre and the train station, the hotel offers facilities such as an indoor swimming pool, a whirlpool, steam room, sauna, bars, a restaurant and relaxing gardens. The rooms are equipped with television, telephone, safes and hairdryers.
