Fly to Vancouver from the UK today, where you check into your hotel for the night.

Day 2 Fraser Canyon

Vancouver to Kamloops

Embark on your Canadian rail adventure today as you board the award-winning Rocky Mountaineer. You begin your journey from Vancouver to Kamloops passing through some simply stunning landscapes of rolling rivers, weaving in and out of the Coast and Cascade Mountains and roaring through the sinisterly-named Hell's Gate in Fraser Canyon. On arrival into the town of Kamloops, check into your hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 3 Mount Robson

Kamloops to Jasper

Leaving Kamloops this morning, join Rocky Mountaineer once more as you head towards the magnificent Canadian Rockies, passing through gorgeous scenery. Your route sees you pass by the tallest mountain in the range, Mount Robson, as well as the crashing Pyramid Falls. You finish by ascending the wild Yellowhead Pass and stop at Jasper in the heart of the Jasper National Park.

Venture into Jasper National Park today for a guided tour. A UNESCO World Heritage site, Jasper National Park is full of sublime natural attractions of various shapes and sizes including canyons, lakes and hotsprings. Alongside these sights, Jasper is also know for its exceptional biodiversity, with all manner of fauna and flora calling this natural haven home. The proud elk can be found in the forests and out on the mountains, and a variety of birdlife can be seen stalking in the cloudy mountains.

Day 5 Athabasca Falls

Icefields Parkway

Travel to Banff today, navigating one of the finest and most scenic roads in the world - the Icefields Parkway. You journey along this snowy expanse, passing mountains and snowdrifts before you stop at the dramatic Athabasca Falls. From here, you are treated to a ride in an Ice Explorer, a special vehicle which takes you out onto the Athabasca Glacier to see this carved ice in all its tremendous glory. Stop overnight in Banff.

Day 6 Yoho National Park

Yoho National Park

Your day today sees you pay a visit to Yoho National Park. Featuring incredible natural monuments and displaying the best of Canada's impressive landscapes, this park is well worth a visit. Enjoy a tour here before continuing on to Lake Louise where you overnight.

Day 7 Kananaskis

Helicopter tour over Kananaskis

Today sees you enjoy a sightseeing tour of Banff before heading to Kananaskis, where you take a helicopter tour for a panoramic bird's eye view of the stunning landscapes below. You end your explorations in Calgary tonight, where you spend the night.

Leave Calgary and Canada behind today as you head to the airport for your flight home.
