The best of India
Scenery of incomparable natural beauty encompasses every inch of India, from the dramatic Himalayas in the northeast, through verdant rainforest and agricultural lands planted with acres of spices, tea, and rubber trees. On India's coastlines, sublime white-sand beaches are lapped by the warm Arabian Sea. And India's inspiring landscapes are liberally studded with further treasures.
Journey to Agra and prepare to be awed by the city's UNESCO-listed highlights; the timeless Taj Mahal, the eleventh- century Agra Fort - a redoubtable and terracotta-hued walled city, and Fatehpur Sikri, an imperial city of sandstone, built in the Persian architectural style.
Benefits of rail
India has plenty of rail variety, whether it's the UNESCO-listed narrow-gauge Shivalik Express, affectionately referred to as the 'Toy Train', that covers a journey of 96km through the Shivalik foothills of the Himalayas to Shimla or the Palace on Wheels, which takes passengers on an enchanting journey through the bygone era of the Maharajas.
Experience this vibrant subcontinent in the most fantastically authentic way.
