Board your flight from London Heathrow to Delhi, arriving on Day 2. Transfer to a hotel ahead of a guided tour of the city. Later, board the fabulous Deccan Odyssey. On Day 3, arrive in Ranthambore early this morning ahead of a game drive.
Arrive at Agra today, visiting the Taj Mahal in the morning. After lunch, you visit Itmad-ud-Daulah, before continuing on to see the Agra Fort. On Day 5, arrive at the Amber Fort for a guided tour, viewing the Palace of the Winds en-route. After lunch, there are a selection of excursions to choose from.
Udaipur is your destination this morning, set on the shores of Lake Pichola. Visit the City Palace then cruise across Lake Pichola to Jagmandir for lunch. There is a walking tour of Udaipur this afternoon. Visit the Champaner-Pavagadh Archaeological Park in Vadodara and the Maharaja Fateh Singh Museum on Day 7.
Enjoy a relaxing breakfast on board as you pull in to Aurangabad, where you go on to visit the Ellora Caves. Here, you have time to explore. In the morning of Day 9, disembark in Mumbai and transfer to the airport for your flight home.

Introduced in 2004, the Deccan Odyssey is one of Northern India's newest luxury trains. Its décor and furnishings are designed to reflect the ways of the Indian royalty and the elegant interiors, combined with extremely high standards of service offer an unforgettable on-board experience.
The Deccan Odyssey is fully air conditioned throughout and has two opulent restaurant cars serving breakfast and dinner, with a menu featuring a range of Indian, Maharashtrian, Goan, Chinese and International cuisine. There is a fully-stocked bar car, lounge car, library and also a spa car, with a steam bath and a small gym. A range of beauty treatments and spa therapies such as Ayurvedic massage and facials are offered in the spa car (payable locally). Complimentary daily newspapers, magazines and mineral water are available and there is a weekly laundry service and daily money exchange facility.
The train is formed of 21 carriages, of which 11 each house four comfortable deluxe cabins and a lounge with a television and telephone. Deluxe cabins either have twin or double beds, a wardrobe with safe and an en suite bathroom with WC, sink and shower. Each coach has its own butler and 24 hour room service is available.
