Meet your Tour Manager in Glasgow today, where we enjoy a mulled wine on arrival, and enjoy dinner. We overnight here. On Day 2, it is Christmas Eve, we transfer to the station for our trip along the breathtakingly beautiful West Highland Line - one of the most iconic lines in the world. We are travelling today to Fort William, then transferring to Ballachulish, our base for the next four nights. On arrival, we enjoy a spot of tea and cake, and this evening, we enjoy a special dinner. Tonight, we are entertained with live music, and there is also an opportunity to venture to nearby Duror Church for the Watchnight Service.
Today is dedicated to relaxation, food, and festivities. After breakfast, there is a visit from Santa, then plenty of free time to enjoy the day as you wish until lunch. There is also an option, this morning, to go to a Christmas Day service at one of the nearby churches. After a delicious Christmas lunch with all the trimmings, there is the chance to watch the Queen's Speech. You are then at leisure again until dinner, and this evening there is a showing of Christmas films with popcorn and chocolate.
Boxing Day is spent enjoying some of Scotland's most iconic past times. We begin the day with a gondola ride on the Nevis Range Mountain Gondola, which showcases some truly awe-inspiring views of the surrounding countryside of Scotland. Travelling up the side of Aonach Mor, you can see a myriad of beautiful peaks and lochs that epitomise Scotland; including the highest mountain in the British Isles, Ben Nevis. After, we venture to the mountain cafe, and indulge in a tasting of Scotland's favourite beverage, whisky. We return to our hotel for dinner this evening, and enjoy a sherry reception and live music as we eat.
Today, we enjoy one of the most revered and famous locomotives in the world, the Jacobite. This bastion of steam engines is beloved by many, and is arguably one of the best ways to travel along the West Highland Line. Enjoy the special Festive service as we complete an enthralling return trip, before we transfer back to the hotel for our final meal together.
On Day 6, we partake in breakfast before transferring to the station for our journey back to Glasgow. On arrival, our tour ends, and you are free to depart at leisure.
