Norwegian Star is a 935-feet long vessel from Norwegian Cruise Lines which spends its winter cruising from Florida to the Caribbean, and in summer explores the Baltic Sea. The ship has 14 passenger decks, 17 dining options and 10 bars and lounges.
Our included accommodation on Norwegian Star is an inside twin or double bed stateroom on one of the lower decks. All staterooms have a TV, refrigerator, safe and an en suite bathroom with a shower and hairdryer. All feature twin beds, which can be converted into a queen sized bed on request.
The option to upgrade to a higher category of stateroom is available. If you enjoy waking up with a view across the open sea or towards the nearest stretch of coastline, you can upgrade your standard cabin to an Oceanview Stateroom. In addition to the same facilities and amenities of an inside cabin, they also have a generously sized porthole window. Balcony Staterooms are ideal for those who like to enjoy a private drink with a view across the sea. They have the same facilities and amenities as an Inside Stateroom, with the added benefit of floor-to-ceiling glass doors which open up onto your own private balcony. The balcony is big enough for sunbathing or enjoying a room-service meal. Alternatively, treat yourself to extra personal space on board by choosing to upgrade your stateroom to a Mini-Suite, which come with added touches of luxury and pampering. As well as your own private balcony, Mini-Suites have luxury bathrooms and a spacious seating area, as well as all of the amenities and services available in the standard staterooms.
Dining on Norwegian Star
All meals are included during your time on board Norwegian Star which operates "freestyle dining". There are two main dining rooms, both offering multi-course buffets with a wonderful range of freshly-prepared options, as well as casual cafés, on-deck grills and barbeques and a 24-hour in-room dining menu. In addition to the included dining choice, you can choose to eat in any of the many and varied 'speciality' restaurants on board (cover charge applies). These restaurants offer varied cuisine and dining styles from across the world. Freestyle Dining means you could eat in a different restaurant every evening during your cruise! Among the 17 dining options on board is Moderno Churrascaria, a Brazilian-style barbeque restaurant, Ginza Asian restaurant, which specialises in Asian-Fusion cuisine, La Cucina, modelled on a rustic Italian trattoria, and Topsider's Bar & Grill, located on deck near the Oasis Pool.
There is also a fantastic variety of bars and lounges to suit all tastes, including the sea-view Spinnaker Lounge, which has a full bar and dance floor, the Red Lion traditional English pub, complete with pool tables and 'proper' beer, the Bavarian-style Bier Garten on Deck 14, sophisticated Gatsby's Champagne Bar, and a relaxing Java Café.
Leisure and Sport
Norwegian Star offers a superb range of sports and leisure facilities for you to enjoy. You could begin the day with a few laps of the jogging track or with a work out in the state-of-the-art Barong Fitness Centre. You could follow an energetic swim in the Lap Pool with a relaxing dip in the Jacuzzi, work on your swing in one of the on-board golf driving nets, or you could simply choose to relax on a sun-lounger beside the Oasis pool or in one of the six hot tubs.
Spa and Beauty
The Barong Spa offers the perfect peaceful space to relax and reinvigorate. A full range of massages and spa treatments are available (payable locally).
Activities and Entertainment
During your cruise there will be plenty of temptation for a flutter on a variety of games at the Star Club Casino, including Roulette, Black Jack and Poker, as well as a selection of slot machines. Visit the Stardust Theatre for nightly Broadway- and Vegas-style productions, comedy and magic acts. You could enjoy a wine tasting experience in the ship's on-board wine cellar, or enjoy some retail therapy with a visit to the Trade Routes Boutique - Norwegian Star's department store at sea.
