Itinerary

Day 1 - Vancouver

Fly from London to the coastal city of Vancouver and check into your hotel for the night. Both a cultural hotspot and food lover's paradise, Vancouver boasts many excellent museums, galleries and theatres, as well as restaurants offering cuisine from almost every corner of the globe. You have some time to head out and explore scenic city on your own. Included is admission to FlyOver Canada, a thrilling multi-sensory journey across Canada aboard the latest in flight ride technology, allowing you to discover the country's most famous sights without leaving your seat.

Day 2 – The Canadian

Enjoy a morning to explore more of Vancouver. Perhaps relax in lush Stanley Park or discover the coffee shops and quirky boutiques of Gastown. This afternoon, you take a taxi to the train station to board The Canadian for your overnight journey to Jasper, staying in comfortable Sleeper Plus cabins as you're whisked into the heart of the Canadian Rockies.

Day 3 - Jasper

After a night on the rails, you wake up to awe-inspiring views of the Canadian Rockies. Spend some time enjoying the panoramic views from the observation dome of the Skyline Car, or maybe admire the passing scenery from one of the salons in the Park Car. You arrive in the mountain town of Jasper where you check into your hotel for the night. The rest of the day is free for you to get to know Jasper at your own pace, and there's plenty for you to see and do here. Perhaps enjoy the scenic hiking trails, head out further into Jasper National Park to explore, or soak up the views from the Jasper Tramway.

Day 4 - Lake Louise

You enjoy a scenic transfer by coach to Lake Louise, admiring some of Canada's most stunning vistas along the way. Travel along the famous Icefield Parkway and stop at the Columbia Icefield. Here, you venture by mighty Ice Explorer - an impressive all-terrain vehicle - onto the incredible Athabasca Glacier, a 10,000 year-old icy glacier. Continue the beautiful drive by coach to pristine Lake Louise. This area just outside of the town of Banff is picture-perfect, with majestic mountains surrounding the lake of the same name. You spend the night here.

Day 5 - Banff

Enjoy a free morning to soak up the magnificent beauty of Lake Louise before making the journey east to the nearby town of Banff, where you spend the next two nights. This enticing resort town is known for its exciting ski areas, natural hot springs and beautiful surrounding National Park. With a day free to experience Banff for yourself, you could take advantage of the town's hiking trails, go for a soak in the hot springs, or relax at your hotel.

Day 6 - Banff

You're introduced to Banff's most impressive sights on a guided tour. You see the Hoodoos, striking towering rock formations, and Surprise Corner, a scenic viewpoint on the Bow River. Continue to the Cave and Basin National Historic Site, where a cave full of hot mineral spring water is known as the birthplace of Canada's National Parks. You also take a scenic gondola ride to the top of Sulphur Mountain, where there's incredible views across the town of Banff and the National Park beyond.

Day 7 – Calgary and London

Your rail adventure comes to an end today, as you transfer to Calgary Airport for your flight to London Heathrow.
