Prince's Island Park
This beautiful island in the Bow River takes its name from Peter
Anthony Prince, who donated the land to the city in 1947. As well
as being home to some truly beautiful flora and scenery, the park
is also a celebrated centre of culture, and has hosted many of
Calgary's exciting festivals.
Stampede Grandstand
Accommodating up to 25,000 spectators, this impressive stadium
is best known for hosting Calgary's world-famous 'Stampede'. Held
every year since 1923, the festival celebrates the city's history
with ten days of rodeos, chuck-wagon racing and much more - and it
is one of Canada's most popular events.
