Gatimaan Express Train

We travel on the Gatimaan Express in India. Running 188km from Delhi to Agra in a journey that takes just over an hour and a half, this is India's first semi-high speed train and the fastest train in India. The Gatimaan Express first opened in early 2016. On board, you can be served traditional Indian cuisine by dedicated train hostesses, as you relax in fully air-conditioned carriages, and enjoy the passing Indian scenery. There is also complimentary Wi-Fi, and an app that provides access to movies, music, and news on board.

“This holiday exceeded all our expectations and was excellent value for money. Our tour manager, Laura, was brilliant and formed an excellent repour with all of us in the group and her organisation skills in keeping us informed of events etc was exceptional. The local guide Dilip was also excellent and very informative and ensured that everything that had been organised from transportation to site visits etc went ahead as planned flawlessly. This is a "full on" Tour which was needed to make sure everything that had been promised was achievable. All the tours especially the game drive in the Ranthambore National Park were fascinating with the bonus that we actually saw a tiger - fantastic. The hotels selected were all of an excellent standard, but the stand out one for us was the Cecil Oberoi in Shimla which was amazing. This is an excellent tour to see some of the major sites in this part of India, the Taj Mahal being the highlight.

“Fantastic trip. Lyn our tour rep was excellent. The only downside was the extra trips. Two places selling carpets was a bit much. Not sure these stops add anything to the experience but overall a great holiday. We would definitely book through the company again for future trips. Excellent customer care too.
