Your incredible journey begins today when you take your overnight flight from London to Mumbai.

Today you can enjoy some free time in Mumbai, and get to know the city better. Formerly Bombay, Mumbai is the business centre of India, but it's also where India's Bollywood films are made and where art galleries and museums can be found.

This sprawling city is getting larger and more populated all the time, but you can still sense the essence of Mumbai by strolling its streets, watching the locals go by, and gazing at the incredibly varied architecture.

Today you'll transfer to Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus where the luxurious Deccan Odyssey train is waiting for you, and you'll begin your enchanting journey to Vadodara, the Royal city of the Gaekwads.

When you step aboard the Deccan Odyssey, you'll discover the wonders of the golden age of travel, while enjoying every modern amenity you need. As you get to know the train better, you'll discover your cabin, decorated in a way that reflects one of the eras of the Deccan milieu. This train looks and feels like it's from a bygone era, but its maiden journey was in 2004, meaning everything is up to date. There's even a spa coach where you can book treatments and experience total relaxation. Once you've familiarised yourself with your new luxury surroundings, your journey begins.

Following a relaxed breakfast onboard this morning, you'll arrive at Vadodara, the Royal city of the Gaekwads. You'll visit the famous Champaner-Pavagadh Archaeological Park, which is a World Heritage Site, where you'll see the magnificent Jami Masjid monument and you'll visit the Maharaja Fateh Singh Museum. You'll experience a fascinating folk dance performance, as you enjoy a wide array of delicacies from the royal kitchens at the Lukshmi Villas Palace. You'll return to the train for a lavish dinner onboard and you can then relax with a drink in the bar car and reflect on your first day.

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast onboard this morning before arriving at the regal state of Udaipur. You'll take a tour of the City Palace and Crystal Gallery, followed by a magical boat ride on the tranquil waters of Lake Pichola. A three-course lunch, including dishes from all over the world, is served back onboard and later in the afternoon you can choose to relax in your cabin or in the bar car, or you can go for a walk through the charming streets of the Old City. Dinner is served onboard the train this evening, after which you can relax and get to know your fellow passengers.

Take your time over your breakfast onboard this morning, as you arrive at Jodhpur, the 'Blue City'. Enjoy the intriguing sights of this colourful city, including Jaswant Thada, the cenotaph that serves as the resting place for the royal Rajput family of Marwar. Following a visit to the magnificent Mehrangarh Fort, you'll end the day with barbecue delights in the enchanting courtyard of the Mehrangarh Fort. You'll then return to the train to enjoy a drink in the bar car 'Mumbai Hi', or to get cosy in your cabin.

Following your leisurely breakfast onboard the train this morning, you'll arrive at the historic capital of Rajasthan, Jaipur, often known as the 'Pink City'. Spend some time exploring the forts and palaces of this fascinating city, and take an intriguing walk through the colourful bazaars, watching the locals go about their day. Then you'll return to the train for a relaxed dinner onboard, enjoying regional and international dishes, paired with fine wines from all over the globe.

This morning, as you enjoy your relaxed breakfast onboard, the Deccan Odyssey takes you to the magical city of Agra. Marvel at the wondrous views of the iconic Taj Mahal as you visit this UNESCO World Heritage Site. One of the seven wonders of the world, this unique building is made of white marble with beautiful inlay work and marble screens. You'll then visit other architectural treasures of the Mughal Era like Itmad Ud Daula and the Agra Fort where you can indulge in some artefact shopping. Dinner is served back onboard the train this evening.

Enjoy your leisurely breakfast onboard this morning before you arrive in Ranthambore, where you'll begin the day with a mesmerising village walk in Canters. Lunch is served onboard the train where you can relax for a while and later in the day, you'll enjoy a thrilling Jungle Safari. Feel like a Maharaja as you travel in an open vehicle, trundling through the National Park looking for big cats, wild boars, and hyenas. Dinner is served back onboard the train where you can relax with a drink and reflect on your incredible day.

After an early morning breakfast onboard, you'll arrive in Delhi this morning and you'll disembark the train at the Delhi Cantt Railway Station. As you say goodbye to the Deccan Odyssey and your royal passage through the grand vistas of India comes to an end, you can take your incredible memories with you and look forward to getting to know Delhi.

Your epic adventure comes to a close today when you are transferred from your hotel to Delhi airport for your flight back to London.
