Amsterdam, has showcased the changing landscapes of the Rhine, from

Starting in the riverside town of Königswinter, the Drachenfels
Cog Railway carries passengers more than 700 feet to up to the top
of Drachenfels mountain. First operating in 1883, the line
originally used steam-powered trains before changing in 1953 to the
electric trains that continue to run today. This picturesque route
passes Drachenburg Castle, a palatial 19th-century villa boasting
romantic turrets and great views. On arrival at the top of the
mountain, you will see the ruins of Drachenfels Castle, a
12th-century fortress that was destroyed 500 years later.
At the heart of the Netherlands, with a handsome whistling steam
engine and attractive wooden carriages, the Medemblik Steam Train
is a wonderfully nostalgic railway which skirts coastlines, tulips
and windmills on a pretty Dutch route. This heritage railway was
originally opened in 1887, and had operated up until 1941 before
being closed down. Nowadays, the railway operates as a heritage
train and the livery is that of the cars of 1926, during the golden
age of the Medemblik Steam Train
Boat, food and staff were amazing. 5 star boat and 5 star service. Well organised. Only criticism would be some guides were not as good as others.

This was a fantastic holiday with plenty of interesting excursions and was very well organised. Baggageman service was excellent and made the Eurostar and other train connections much easier with only hand luggage to carry. The Amadeus imperial cabins were well appointed and the service was very good.
