Great experience, well organised, not to rushed and ample free time. All in all a great experience and exceeded my expectations. In theses troubled times that we are living in I thought the organisation during the whole tour was simply the best

The hotels we stayed at (Cedar Court plus Linden Hall) were lovely. Adequate service, good rooms and decent meals. Everything in the itinerary went according to plan; credit to the coach drivers for getting us to and from the different attractions and stations in good time, often making scenic detours which are worthwhile in my opinion. Lastly, our tour manager Angela (this was her last shift as tour manager) did everything she could to ensure we had a joyous tour; and a great job she did!

Our tour manager, Bridget King, was excellent and kept us all well informed about every aspect of the tour. Our stay in Harrogate at the Crown Plaza was let down by the food in the restaurant which was not to a standard I would have expected. Perhaps a change of chef would make a difference. By contrast the White Swan in Alnwick was a delight both in the friendliness of the staff and the quality of the food. Apart from that the countryside was lovely and it was nice to have a few hours in Carlisle, a city we know very well from our younger days.

Brilliant hotels with very friendly helpful staff. Coach drivers were knowledgeable and willing to show you the little extras which helps in bad weather. plenty to see, never a dull moment and really enjoyed the trip.

white Swan in Alnwick gave me a room which was dirty, including the toilet, shower and plug in basin. There was dust on tissue box and hairdryer and under desk and bed. I do not think it was fit for customers.
