Today we enjoy a guided walking tour of Venice. We visit the ever-impressive St Mark's Square and Basilica. Afterwards, we enjoy a 'secret itinerary' tour, which takes us inside the intricate Doges palace, as well as over the famous 'Bridge of Sighs', named so because it gave prisoners their last views of Venice before incarceration.

The Carnival is a great spectacle. The party was relatively small and everyone got on well. The tour manager was first rate.

Our tour manager was excellent. Content was good ie guides and hotels...except the hotel in Turin which was slapdash eg dirty crockery and indifferent service and food. It would have good to have an extra day or three to explore Venice more and jump on and off of a few more vaporettos to other islands!
