About the tour
Bavaria's wonderful castles, mysterious forests and magical mountains create a stunning backdrop to this majestic tour. With three nights in Füssen, we uncover hidden gems and soak up the natural beauty of the region, including a visit to the famous Neuschwanstein Castle and a journey on the Zugspitze Railway ascending the highest mountain in Germany.
We then discover the historic town of Regensburg before boarding our cruise ship. Sailing along the beautiful Danube, we drift through the picturesque Wachau Valley, admire the magnificent architecture of Vienna and Bratislava, and sail by the famous hilltop castle of Visegrad on the Danube Bend. In Budapest, we explore the city's rich history and culture before ending our cruise with an evening sail through the illuminated sights of this mesmerising city.

The river boat journey was wonderful, our cabin was lovely and the food was quality but unfortunately not to my wife’s taste. The boat is of a high standard and kept immaculate, we loved it. The journey to the boat and back home again is something we would never do again. The majority of people are of a mature age and we felt it was too strenuous and hectic.
