Departure Times

On many of our UK & Ireland tours, you may check in at the first hotel on your itinerary anytime after 14:00; your Tour Manager will be available between 16:00 and 18:00. However, if you are arriving later, you can meet your Tour Manager before dinner from 19:00.

Day 1

Arrive in Falmouth

We begin our Cornish break in the pretty Cornish Riviera resort of Falmouth, where we are welcomed at the Royal Duchy Cornwall hotel with tea and coffee on arrival.

Day 2

Discovering West Cornwall

Today we are immersed in the beauty of Cornwall's west coast as we take in the spectacular golden sands and seascapes as we travel along the St Ives Bay Line. After free time in the picturesque town of St Ives, we continue by coach around Cape Cornwall, seeing legendary Land's End and Penzance, where romantic St Michael's Mount enchants from the sea.

Day 3

At leisure in Falmouth

Your entire day is free to explore Falmouth at leisure. Perhaps visit the Art Gallery or the fascinating Maritime Museum, dedicated to small boats and Cornwall's maritime heritage. You could also head to Pendennis Castle, or maybe take in one of the region's famous gardens.

Eden Project
Day 4

Eden Project

Today we make a visit to one of the English Riviera's highlights, the Eden Project. Situated in an old china clay pit, this iconic landmark is a celebration of environmental conservation.

Lost Gardens of Heligan
Day 5

Lost Gardens and Bodmin & Wenford Railway

This morning we visit one of the most mysterious estates in England. The former Tremayne Estate is home to the extraordinary Lost Gardens of Heligan, which have been remarkably restored to their former glory over the last thirty years. We continue to Bodmin, where we join the famous Bodmin & Wenford Steam Railway.

Journey Home
Day 6

Homeward bound

After breakfast, the tour concludes and you are free to make your journey home independently, or perhaps spend a little more time exploring further this beautiful county.
