Day 2 – Al Andalus & Seville

Al Andalus

This morning all guests will meet in Alfonso III hotel, from where you'll begin a tour of the city. Discover the Cathedral, crowned by the Giralda, a famous symbol of Seville, see the Royal Alcazar, a set of palaces with spectacular gardens, and wander through the alleys of Santa Cruz Quarter. You'll return to the Hotel Alfonso III for lunch, after which you'll continue discovering the city on a panoramic bus tour. You'll make a special stop at the beautiful Plaza de España, then its time to head to the station to board the Andalusian train.

From the moment you board this nostalgic train, you'll be transported back to a time of indulgence. The crew will greet you with a welcome drink and then you can relax in your luxurious room. As you start your journey to Jerez, you'll enjoy dinner in one of the retro restaurant wagons. When you arrive at Jerez the train will stay at the station, and you'll experience your first night onboard Al Andalus.

Day 3 – Cadiz

Following a hearty a al carte or buffet breakfast served on board to your table in the restaurant car, you'll continue your adventure as you travel by luxury bus to Cadiz. You'll visit the attractions of this ancient city, which is the oldest in the western world. You'll then have some free time to explore the city a little further on our own. Lunch, prepared by the onboard chef, is served back on the train, and dinner will be taken in an authentic restaurant in Jerez. The train will remain at the station, and you'll spend the night in Jerez.

Day 4 – Jerez

After breakfast onboard this morning, you'll take the bus to a sherry winery. There you'll learn the secrets of how this famous drink is made. You'll also be invited to taste the best specimens that this winery produces. To round off this tour in Jerez, you'll attend an equestrian show called 'How the Andalusian Horses Dance'.

You'll return to the Al Andalus Train to continue on to the beautiful White Village of Ronda. Lunch is served in one of vintage dining cars, as the Andalucian landscapes pass by your window. After lunch, while you travel, performances and shows take place in the train's luxurious lounge cars, and on arrival at the station you'll take the bus for dinner in a traditional restaurant in Ronda. The train will stay in Ronda overnight.

Day 5 - Ronda

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast onboard this morning and then get ready to tour the old city of Ronda, part of the route of the White Villages. Your own personal guide will take you through the Alameda del Tajo, the New Bridge and the Old Bridge, and you'll also see the oldest bullring in Spain, the Palacio Mondragón. You'll then have some free time to explore Ronda where you can admire the beautiful views of the Serranía. When you return to the luxurious Al Andalus Train, you'll begin your journey to Cordoba, enjoying a delicious dinner onboard, and you'll then spend the night in Cordoba.

Day 6 - Cordoba

Today you'll visit Cordoba, which was an important city in medieval times, capital of the Al Ándalus caliphate. You'll spend some time in one of its World Heritage Sites, the Mosque of Cordoba. You'll then return to the train for a leisurely lunch while the journey continues on to the Linares station, in Baeza. Along the way, relax and gaze out over the unique landscapes of the Andalusian countryside. Take this opportunity for some quiet time with the views and enjoy a drink in the privacy of your suite or in one of the luxury train cars.

In the afternoon you'll visit Ubeda and Baeza, two cities that are both World Heritage Cities. Returning to the train, you'll travel on, heading for Granada, the home of the famous Alhambra. During this part of the journey, you'll enjoy a decadent dinner served on board, and then you can relax and enjoy the evening entertainment, after which you'll spend the night at Granada station.

Day 7 – Granada and The Alhambra

Perhaps the most exciting part of the tour, today you'll see inside The Alhambra, a World Heritage Site and the most visited place in Spain. You'll see the beautiful palaces and gardens of this fortress, once home to sultans and kings. Have your camera ready in the spectacular Nasrid Palaces and its Lions courtyards, and stroll through the stunning gardens and fountains of the Generalife Palace.

In the afternoon you'll have some free time to explore the town in Granada at your own pace. In the evening you'll enjoy dinner at a local restaurant, where you can try the local dishes and sample Granada cuisine.
