Martin and Shirlie Kemp, also known as 'the other half' of '80s pop groups Spandau Ballet and Pepsi and Shirlie, explored one of Europe's top foodie regions on our tour The Beautiful Basque Country. Staying in one of Spain's prestigious 'Paradors', a 10th-century castle in Hondarribia, the pair fell in love with the characterful region and its legendary cuisine. Martin's favourite 'pintxos' - the bite-sized, Basque version of tapas - was a tangy selection of pickled olives, peppers and creamy anchovies, skewered by a toothpick and served with a chunk of bread.
