Short breaks by train in Europe and around the world

If you only have a few days and you need to just get away from it all, what better way than trying one of our short breaks by rail? Travelling by rail, as opposed to flying, allows you to spend the first and last days of your journey enjoying the scenery and the company of friends. Travelling in the comfort of a train can effectively double the length of short breaks by train, when touring Europe.

If you want your holiday to start as soon as you leave the house, Great Rail Journeys can organise short breaks by train, in the UK and Europe, as well as overnight stays in top hotels. So if you have an overnight stay in, for example, London you can rest assured that the hotel has been pre-checked by an expert. No one understands short rail breaks like we do and aside from arranging national and international travel we also offer a luggage transfer service. Your bags will be collected a few days before the holiday and returned a few days after you arrive back so the most you have to carry out of the house for short breaks by train, is an overnight bag.
