Rail Tours in Latvia

Discover the Heart of the Baltic with Tours of Latvia

Known for its unspoilt coast and the World Heritage status of Riga's town centre, Latvia is a modern country with an intriguing history. One of the most popular destinations on our tours of Latvia, Riga is the largest city in the Baltic States and since Latvian independence in 1989 has been a cultural meeting point. Despite heavy German and Russian influences, tours of Latvia show that the country has retained a strong sense of the Baltic boasting a proud, energetic and hospitable population. Tours of Latvia are still relatively uncommon but the country's unspoilt cities and unique charms woo visitors every time.

Tours of Latvia - Traveller's Notes

Guests on our tours of Latvia are accompanied by a Tour Manager who can help avoid embarrassing moments but some of the most common faux pas include; the giving of an even number of flowers (even numbers of flowers are given in times of mourning); placing the napkin on your lap when dining; and asking too many personal questions.

As it is largely untouched by tourism, tours of Latvia tend to take in a mix of unspoilt culture and natural beauty rather than more mainstream attractions.
