The hotels were not as I expected especially The Devere in Boston. I have written to them to make a compaint. Housekeeping very poor. We wanted to stay on for 4 days it cost £2000 .

Positives: Good itinerary. Well chosen railway journeys. Excellent coach and driver. Fabulous scenery. Just the right time to go for the turning leaves. No problem arranging our own flights and obtaining a credit. Good local guides in Boston and Mount Washington. Negatives: The Shore Bay Acres Inn is very poor accommodation. Appreciate it is an old connection but time to find something better. No breakfast included at the other hotels was annoying. For a modest sum the company could have negotiated to include this whereas we had to pay full price.
