“I enjoyed every day of our visit tremendously although our visits to Lindisfarne and Bamburgh were affected by awful weather. Otherwise the weather was kind. Both hotels were good. Rail journeys fun.Our guide, Lynda was excellent. She got me mobile scooters so l could enjoy the gardens better. Perhaps my best memory is riding up the winding path through the forest of Japanese cherry blossom in full bloom in Alnwick Castle gardens. David

“A truly great experience. Aside from the beautiful scenery, the trip was extremely well run by Tracey Richards. The buses were spotless and comfortable, the trains all enjoyable. I thought each of the hotels and meals were superb.......well done by Great Rail. When weather forced some changes in mode os transportation, Tracey made it all appear seamless and an improvement. “A gentle holiday with a lovely small group 21 of like minded people on two beautiful islands.

“This was such a well organised, we'll thought out trip. The travel was fun, the hotel perfect in every way, our tour guide was helpful without being intrusive and the excursions allowed you to do your own thing or go with the guided group. Everything combined to make this a perfect, relaxing getaway. Strongly recommended.
