The brand new Spirit of Queensland train takes its passengers on a memorable journey along Queensland's east coast, from the city of Brisbane to the tropical climes of Cairns. The route operated under a previous name - The Sunshine Express - from its inception until 1953, when it became The Sunlander. The service adopted its current moniker in December 2014.
Travelling along the Gold and Sunshine Coasts to the Great Barrier Reef, this epic 1,031-mile (1,660km) journey provides incredible views of the ever-changing scenery, such as the volcanic peaks of the Glasshouse Mountains and the green, leafy realm of the Daintree Rainforest.
