Your Italian adventure begins with your flight from London to Florence.

Rail London - Florence (2 Days)

Alternatively, take a leisurely two day train journey from London to Florence. Beginning in St Pancras Station, you'll take the Eurostar to Paris Nord. Then from Paris Gare du Lyon you'll travel to Lyon St Exupery and spend the night in Lyon. The next day you'll take the train from Lyon to Milan and from Milan to Florence, where you'll transfer to your hotel.

On arrival in Florence you'll be transferred to your hotel to relax. Choose between our 4* hotels, on a B&B basis.

Enjoy a free day in Florence today and get to know the city a little better by walking its streets and discovering its stunning architecture. Visit a gallery or a museum for some famous historical art in this city of art and culture, or spend some time in one of the city's historic cafes where you can sip an Italian coffee at the bar along with the locals. Or, choose one of our optional excursions, pre-bookable at an additional cost, for a deeper dive into Florence and the surrounding area.

Day 3 – Florence to Venice

To Venice

Relax on your free morning in Florence and do any last minute souvenir shopping, or stroll the streets one more time, before you'll head to the station later in the morning. From the station you'll catch a highspeed train through picturesque Tuscany and the Emilia-Romagna wine region, all the way to Venice. The journey takes just over two hours and on arrival in Venice you can take an optional transfer, or walk to your hotel. Choose between our 4* and 5* hotels, on a B&B basis.

Day 4 - Venice

Venice

You can enjoy a free day in Venice today to get to know the city better. Stroll these historic streets and take in the Venetian atmosphere by sitting at one of the pavement cafes with an Italian coffee or a gelato. Wander the narrow streets and stride over the old bridges that straddle the famous canals. Or, at a supplementary cost, choose one of our optional excursions and get to know Venice and beyond.

Day 5 – The Venice Simplon Orient Express

Spend your free morning in Venice doing any last minute souvenir shopping, or taking a last wander around the historic streets, before it's time to join the majestic Venice Simplon Orient Express. From the moment you approach these restored 1920s carriages, you'll know this is a journey like no other. Once onboard you'll gain a sense of the luxury of this historic train and the majesty of the journey you're about to take.

Relax, as your journey begins, in your private accommodation, and enjoy a three course lunch in one of the regal restaurant cars. Watch the changing landscapes drift by your window or get to know your fellow travellers a little, before it's time for your sumptuous four course dinner in one of the restaurant cars, accompanied by your sommelier's choice of pairing wines. After dinner, cosy up with a good book, or sip cocktails in the bar car while your resident pianist entertains you.

Day 6 - Arrive in Paris

You'll feel like you've woken in paradise this morning, as the scent of fresh pastries and coffee wafts along the corridors. Your steward is on hand to attend to your needs and you can enjoy a French breakfast served in the comfort of your cabin, or you can wander along to one of the restaurant cars for a breakfast of smoked salmon and caviar.

On arrival in Paris it's time to leave your luxury journey behind as you disembark the Venice Simplon Orient Express and make your way to the Eurostar where you'll take your journey back to London St Pancras Station.
