Itinerary
Your holiday starts at London Paddington railway station where we are welcomed by our Tour Manager in the First Class lounge before boarding the midday train to Penzance, enjoying the comfort of our First Class seats.
Enjoy the changing scenery from the train window as we travel from the suburbs of London through the rural West Country and into Cornwall's wild open landscapes.
On arrival in the late afternoon, we are transferred by coach to our cliffside hotel, Cape Cornwall Club in St Just, for an overnight stay and an evening meal.

Enhance your holiday
Spending a night in London before your tour can make such a difference to the first day of your holiday - you can arrive in the capital in good time, relaxed and ready to join your Tour Manager the next morning. You may even want to take in a show on the West End or dine in one of London's famous restaurants. Perhaps on your return to London, you would like to break your journey with an overnight stay before continuing home.
We can book a wide range of hotels in central London or, for our holidays beginning with a flight, at Heathrow, Gatwick, or Manchester Airport for the night before or after your holiday. If you require a quote for single occupancy at any of the hotels, please contact us on 01904 734 805.
Buying tickets for UK train services can be a tricky business - there are so many fares to choose from, each with different rules and restrictions. As you are connecting with an international departure, we strongly recommend that you book a fully flexible ticket to ensure that should the departure times for your holiday change, your rail ticket can allow for these changes.
We can book fully-flexible UK rail tickets from your local station to join your holiday whether this be a European holiday from St Pancras or a UK holiday. The prices are competitive and tickets are not restricted to a particular train or time of day, and in most cases offer you a free choice of routes.
For an up to date quote from your local station, please ask one of our Tour Advisors.

A very beautiful group of islands which we really enjoyed exploring. Our tour manager organised everything really well and looked out for everyone. The hotel on St Mary’s was comfortable and the staff were very attentive and friendly.

GRJ’s itinerary, customer service and services of our Tour manager Deborah Weavers was exceptional. However would suggest:- - flying over to St Mary’s and flying back from Land’s end than using Scillonian111 ferry which was a rust bucket splashing around ( on a normal calm sea day ) with so many being sick with the crossing lasting nearly 3 hours and spoiling the whole day for so many. At least an option to fly both ways should be offered albeit at an additional cost if necessary. - St Mary’s Hall Hotel should consider getting rid of their flappy sticky Shower curtain over the bath and have a shower screen instead. - some flexibility in changing starters and / or main courses in the evening meals ie offer swaps of a similar value from their A la Carte menu would have been much appreciated at St Mary’s Hall Hotel. - the small group of 24 was ideal. The kind availability and services of our tour manager on our free afternoons / days attending local events was most appreciated eg. Gig boat race, visiting Bryher island ( not in our itinerary) etc .

Excellent overall. Guide was very informative and helpful throughout. My room at golf resort was unsuitable especially for a lady on her own. I advised our guide,Andrew, who checked and agreed. Felt very vulnerable as unable to open window as golfer’s pathway immediately outside and car parked outside from 6am. Only a blackout blind so had to have light on for privacy. Not what I expected for the enhanced price I paid. At St Mary’s hotel five items on menu repeated in 4 days!
