Relaxing few days with a lovely hotel with good meals and facilities and trips including visits to interesting places by steam trains and a boat trip. The location by the coast for walks was great and our tour manager was friendly and helpful.

Overall the experience was very good. A good choice of hotel, which was perfect. Train and boat rides were good. Tour Guide could have put a little more effort into it!

The hotel beds were uncomfortable with lumpy pillows. The food in the evening was a bit repetitive with little choice such as cold meats and salad. Other than cereals the only choice for breakfast was a fry up. No no cold meat of cheeses. I asked and was told they did not do continental breakfasts. Day 2 was good, but day 4 morning was wasted as most of us had already seen Dawlish which was not far from the hotel. Teignmouth would have been better. The afternoon was OK. The bus journeys would have been better if the driver had driven slower, to give us time to look around. There was plenty of time. Bumpy and uncomfortable coach. Drinks from the bar were totally overpriced.

Our holiday was well organised, the Langston Cliff Hotel was excellent in all respects. Ideally some more information about the places we visited prior to our visit would have been welcome eg Greenway House and Buckfastleigh Abbey.
