Flight from London to Venice

Fly to Venice from London and begin your special journey when you reach Venice, transferring by boat from Marco Polo Airport to your chosen hotel.

Alternatively, take a two day trip by train. Begin by travelling from London on the swift and comfortable Eurostar, to the beautiful Swiss lakeside town of Montreux where you'll spend the night. The next morning you'll take the next train into Northen Italy and from there you'll journey to Venice.

On arrival in Venice you'll transfer by boat to your chosen hotel. Choose between one of our handpicked hotels, either 4* or 5* on a B&B basis.

Enjoy a free day in Venice where you can wander the narrow streets at your leisure and discover the charms of this romantic city. Take a gondola ride and view the canals from one of the many ornate bridges. Visit a museum or an art gallery or take in the intricate gothic architecture evident on many of the city's buildings as you walk around town. You might like to explore the city further with one of our optional excursions below which are bookable at a supplement.

Day 3 - Venice

Free Day in Venice

Today perhaps spend some time in one of the city's old cafes, try a pastry or two, go shopping in the boutiques, and get to the know city better through its restaurants and bars as you sip an aperol spritz with a view of the waterways. You might wish to take an optional gondola ride, or cooking class to learn to cook the Italian way, which are bookable at a supplement.

Day 4 – Venice Simplon Orient Express

Enjoy some free time in Venice before you board the Venice Simplon Orient Express for a very special journey. Your voyage begins on the platform, where historic carriages await your arrival. Once you have met your conductor, step back in time to the Golden Age of travel as you board the 1920s carriages. Sit back and relax, as we begin our journey, through ever changing Alpine scenery, towards Paris. Take a seat in the dining carriage and browse the menu prepared by French trained Chefs whilst you await the Sommelier. After dinner, relax with a cocktail or two in Bar Car 3674. At midnight, brunch in the Bar Car - enjoy champagne, lobster rolls and maybe a truffled club sandwich, before retiring to your luxurious cabin.

Inbound Travel

Day 5 - Venice Simplon Orient Express

Awake to coffee and pastries in your cabin. Or stroll to the 1920's Restaurant Car for a breakfast to savour. Coffee or tea, eggs, truffle and smoked salmon are all on offer.

The Venice Simplon Orient Express trundles into Gare de L'Est station in Paris at around 1pm. Enjoy your morning aboard the iconic train, and then make your way to Gare du Nord where you'll take the Eurostar back to London St Pancras.
