About the tour
A relaxed yet immersive holiday to Sardinia, the second largest Mediterranean island, with fascinating history, heritage railways and breathtaking beaches. Balancing exploration with relaxation, we uncover layers of history, from the island's Nuragic settlements and ancient Phoenician city of Tharros to the 13th-century buildings of its Pisan rulers.
Savouring traditional cuisine, and tasting local wines at the island's oldest winery, our tour ends in Baja Sardinia near the Costa Smeralda, where a rugged arc of cliffs protect some of Europe's most pristine beaches and translucent turquoise waters lap the shores.

Itinerary
Your holiday begins at London Gatwick where we meet the Tour Manager before flying directly to Sardinia's capital, Cagliari, in the southeast corner of the island. Sardinia is the second-largest island in the Mediterranean after Sicily, located north of Tunisia, south of the French island of Corsica and east of Spain's Catalonia province.
Cagliari is a lively coastal metropolis, bursting with history, located in the beautiful Bay of Angels. This fortified city has been ruled by many different civilisations over the centuries. On arrival this evening, we transfer to our hotel in the city's historic centre. After checking in, dinner is served at our hotel.
