Czech Republic River Cruises

The Elbe is one of the major rivers in Europe and also one of the prettiest. Its source can be found in the Krkonoše Mountains in the north of the Czech Republic and it continues to flow through Germany into the North Sea. You can cruise the Elbe on one of our fabulous river cruises and visit numerous towns and cities along the way for a holiday of pure cultural discovery. The majority of Elbe cruises begin in Berlin where you have plenty of time to enjoy a sightseeing tour of the famous sites, as well as exploring museums and galleries at your own pace. From there the ship sails to Magdeburg,

Wittenburg and Dresden before crossing the border into the Czech Republic. People love to go on Czech vacations to discover a wealth of architectural wonders such as Vysehrad Castle and Charles Bridge in Prague, as well as the impressive squares of historical Litoměřice which is also known as the 'Garden of Bohemia' for its high volume of fruit production. Cruise the Elbe and travel to the Czech Republic with Great Rail Journeys for a truly relaxing holiday.

“Excellent trip as described. Kate Leigh our Tour Manager was so well organised that everything went smoothly. Such an enjoyable time and our group got on so well. Many locations visited in a short period of time. Would thoroughly recommend this trip, although some train journeys were long.

All travel, accommodation and meals on board the ship are included within the price of your holiday, as well as a guided tour of Berlin. All other excursions throughout your cruise on the Elbe are optional and can be purchased locally on the ship, meaning that you can tailor your holiday to suit your needs.
