From London St Pancras, we take the Eurostar to Paris, continuing by rail to Vevey where we spend three nights. Set on the shores of Lake Geneva, surrounded by mountains, Vevey is considered a 'Pearl of the Swiss Riviera'. Enjoy a free day on Day 2. Stroll down the palm and cypress tree-lined promenade, which runs to neighbouring Montreux, to visit Château de Chillon.
We travel to Cully on Day 3, in the Lavaux wine-growing region, where verdant vineyards rise from the lake. A local land train takes us through the pathways of the UNESCO-listed hills before we're treated to a wine tasting at a nearby vineyard. This afternoon is free in Vevey. The Swiss are known for their cheese, so take the opportunity to sample traditional cheese fondue or raclette.
