A country I had not visited before excellent local guides which gave a greater understanding of Poland's history as a nation and from a personal/human point of view the 3 centres where we stayed enhanced the history & travelling between them gave understanding of the Polish way of life

Poland is a great place to travel in by train. Wroclaw was a fascinating place with a cathedral island, a lovely botanic garden and a scenic river trip. Warsaw was an amazing city everything from modern skyscrapers to Soviet architecture, lovely parks and royal palaces. The whole tour was well-organised, the train journeys worked really well and we had a dedicated and knowledgeable tour manager.

This was quite a fast paced tour but very enjoyable and well worth the cost. The Intercontinental in Warsaw was superb but all hotels good on the whole. You must make your own judgement on Auschwitz - in my view it has become too commercialized. A far better depiction of the Holocaust is to be found in Schindler's Factory in Krakow.

WE ENJOY ALL OUR HOLIDAYS WITH GREAT RAIL. THE GROUP ARE ALWAYS INTERESTING AND FRIENDLY. THERE IS A PROBLEM HOWEVER WITH THE LOCATION OF SOME OF THE HOTELS, IN THIS CASE BERLIN- THE MARITIM IS A LOVELY HOTEL BUT THE NEAREST TRANSPORT WAS A 15 MINUTE WALK AND WHEN YOU HAVE ONLY ONE DAY AND HAVE TO FIND A RESTAURANT IN THE EVENING IT MEANS THAT MOST PEOPLE, MANY OF WHOM ARE NOT THAT MOBILE, EAT IN THE HOTEL
