Loas-China Railway

Part of China's plan to connect with Singapore, this first section was completed in 2021 and now runs through Laos to its capital, Vientiane, on the border with Thailand. Modern and efficient, trains travel at speeds of up to 100mph and has cut the journey time from Vientiane to the popular city of Luang Prabang to around two hours. Onboard, the comfortable and air-conditioned carriages are clean, modern and spacious.
