First taking passengers to the summit in 1869, the Mount Washington Cog Railway in New England is the oldest mountain railway in the world. The journey to the top of the 6,288-feet Mount Washington still runs with its vintage steam engines and replica coaches, though on occasion the three mile trip is made with a bio-diesel locomotive. There is a gift shop, a restaurant and a fascinating museum all on site.
In the centre of one of Canada's greatest cities, the Novotel Montreal Centre enjoys a fantastic location, minutes away from the enormous Bell Centre, made up of excellent shopping opportunities and varied restaurants. Whilst in Stowe, we stay at the popular 3-Star Green Mountain Inn. This inn has been open since 1833, and at one point was the inspiration for artist Walton Blodgett. Although old, this hotel boasts modern amenities, such as a sauna, a state-of-the-art-gym, a massage centre offering a range of treatments (payable locally), and a year-round outdoor pool. There is also a restaurant, and in the afternoon the hotel serves complimentary tea and cookies. The traditional, cozy rooms boast televisions, a coffee maker, air conditioning, and complimentary Wi-Fi.

Buying tickets for UK train services can be a tricky business - there are so many fares to choose from, each with different rules and restrictions. As you are connecting with an international departure, we strongly recommend that you book a fully flexible ticket to ensure that should the departure times for your holiday change, your rail ticket can allow for these changes.
We can book fully-flexible UK rail tickets from your local station to join your holiday whether this be a European holiday from St Pancras or a UK holiday. The prices are competitive and tickets are not restricted to a particular train or time of day, and in most cases offer you a free choice of routes.
