We take the Eurostar to Brussels after meeting at our St Pancras Departure Office, travelling on to Nuremberg for an overnight stay. On Day 2 we continue to our hotel in Vienna. After checking in, we enjoy a tour of the city's main sights, taking in the magnificent Imperial architecture on the famous Ringstrasse - a wide avenue that encircles the Old City of Vienna.
Today, you are free to further explore the sights of Vienna at leisure. This fantastic city has a wealth of grand buildings to discover, including the majestic Schönbrunn Palace with its extensive gardens.
We travel by rail to Salzburg on Christmas Eve. After checking in at our hotel, we begin to discover this musical city on a guided sightseeing tour. Back at the hotel tonight we enjoy a gala Christmas dinner with included drinks.
Day 5 is Christmas Day and we enjoy a guided tour of the lakes and mountains around Salzburg, beginning this morning with some of the region's most popular sights. We also enjoy visits to St Gilgen and Mondsee. You have some free time in St Gilgen before we continue to St Wolfgang, a pretty little town on the northern shore of Lake Wolfgang. After taking in the delights of the area, we return to the hotel in the late afternoon, where we settle down to a traditional three-course Christmas dinner. Afterwards, we enjoy a sublime classical music concert in the evening, Christmas Day itself. This takes place in the beautiful marble hall of Salzburg's Mirabell Palace and we sit in top category seats for this festive performance.
Enjoy a leisurely Boxing Day to continue exploring Salzburg. Be sure to admire the enchanting shops of the old Getreidegasse and the magnificent Goldgasse, which is located near the Salzach river.
On Day 7, we leave Salzburg and head to Cologne, departing on Day 8 for Brussels, where we board the Eurostar back to London.
