Rheilffordd Talyllyn Railway

Tucked away in the wildflower meadows of southern Snowdonia, the beautiful Talyllyn Railway paints its merry red trail over the bridges and through the forests of North Wales. This is the first heritage railway in the world - the railway originally was built and rain in 1865, and the heritage society created for the upkeep was established in 1951.  Nearly seven miles of railway is available, and the nostalgic engines of the Talyllyn Railway are a delight to behold as they steam across the landscape.

“Interesting trip, with steam-driven small gauge railways; visits to Elan Valley & Powis Castle highlights.
