Discover Australia's desert-like Red Centre, travelling from Alice Springs on the legendary Ghan train. Journey through World Heritage Rainforest, admiring its waterfalls and wildlife, on board the Kuranda Scenic Railway. From the cosmopolitan cities of Sydney and Adelaide to the Great Barrier Reef and Uluru Rock, this epic holiday brings to life some of the most loved aspects of Australia.

What’s included


Days 1-3 - London, Sydney and Opera House

Board your indirect flight to Sydney at London Heathrow, touching down on Day 2. Enjoy a tour of Sydney Opera House on Day 3. 

Meet at the Welcome Centre located on the Lower Concourse of the Opera House for the start of your Sydney Opera House Tour. Step beneath the sails and discover what makes the Opera House so inspiring. Discover insider secrets and stories of the Opera House artists and performances, and step inside the iconic theatres and foyers that bring to life over 1800 performances each year. Explore the building with your knowledgeable guide, learn about how Jorn Utzon's vision came into existence against impossible odds, and capture photographs from rare vantage points, off limits to the general public.

Days 4-5 - Sydney City tour and Cairns

You'll be picked you up from your hotel to commence a morning Panoramic Sydney tour. Visit the historic Rocks area and hear early convict history. Enjoy magnificent views of the Opera House and Harbour Bridge. See the shopping heart of the city, Queen Victoria Building and Sydney Tower. Visit Sydney's trendy Oxford Street district and travel through Paddington with its terrace houses before arriving at the Pacific Ocean. See the superb coast cliff walk around Tamarama and Bronte. Travel on to famous Bondi Beach and visit the beachfront promenade with time at leisure. See Aussie lifesavers and Sydney's best panoramic view at Dover Heights. Return to Sydney via Double Bay, Kings Cross and Mrs Macquarie's Point for a final magical viewpoint over the harbour before returning to the city centre. Tour concludes at Darling Harbour or Circular Quay.

On Day 5, transfer to airport for your flight to Cairns. On arrival you will be transferred to your hotel.

Days 6-7 - Cairns and Queensland

On Day 6, a coach will pick you up from your hotel to commence a full day Kuranda Skyrail, and Scenic Rail tour. Transfer to Smithfield Terminal to board the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway and glide over and through the rainforest canopy to Kuranda. There are two stations enroute where you can alight and enjoy a walk through the rainforest to spectacular lookouts or visit the CSIRO Interpretive Centre.

Arrive at Kuranda to enjoy free time, and explore the 'Village in the Rainforest' and its many attractions including the Heritage Markets. Board the Kuranda Scenic Railway for the journey to Cairns, and enjoy spectacular views as the train travels through 15 hand cut tunnels and past spectacular waterfalls. Stop at Barron Gorge to view the falls before arriving at Freshwater Station. 

Day 7 is free to spend at your own leisure.

Great Barrier Reef
Days 8-10 - Darwin and The Ghan

On Day 8, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Darwin, on arrival you will be transferred to your hotel.

Join Kakadu's scenic specialists with Kakadu on Day 9. This tour is designed to show off the best of Kakadu & includes scenic flights to/from Kakadu, Yellow Water Cruise, a visit to Warradjan Aboriginal Cultural Centre.

On Day 10, you will be transferred to meet the Ghan, for your 3-day train adventure.

Days 11-13 - Darwin, The Ghan and Adelaide

On Day 11, from Darwin, take in the remarkable Top End views before stopping in Katherine for an afternoon of unique touring. Prepare to experience one of the region's most impressive natural wonders near Katherine. The stunning Nitmiluk Gorge lies within the massive 292,000 hectares of the Nitmiluk National Park, and you'll have the chance to explore it from the water with guided cruise options - an experience you'll never forget.

On Day 12, from your cabin window this morning you'll see a dramatic change in landscape, as the rich ochre tones of the outback make way for the green fields of South Australia. Enjoy a leisurely brunch as you pass through the majestic Flinders Ranges and prepare for your mid-morning arrival into Adelaide, completing one of the world's great travel experiences. In the smart southern city, you can extend your experience with a holiday package to the Barossa Valley, fascinating Kangaroo Island, or an expertly-curated tour of this food and wine loving capital.

On arrival into Adelaide on Day 13, you will be transferred to your hotel.

Day 14 - Wines of South Australia

Start with a 4WD tour into ancient Onkaparinga Gorge to marvel at geology that dates back 600 million years and spectacular views over the coast & vineyards. Wirra Wirra Vineyards is a McLaren Vale & South Australian icon. Go behind the scenes in Wirra Wirra's historic ironstone cellars, see the barrel room and enjoy a seated tasting. Salopian Inn - This is one of Australia's Top 100 restaurant. Savour a beautiful 3 course lunch in this stunning old homestead with its expansive vineyard views. After lunch you will be headed to one of the best in the Vale for a masterclass overlooking the estate at Bekkers Fine Wine. Take a tour of the d'Arenberg Cube, the avant-garde, Rubik's Cube inspired cellar door. Drive to the beach to see spectacular Fleurieu Peninsula coastline.

McLaren Vale
Days 15-16 - Adelaide to London

Fly from Adelaide today then join your connecting flight to London Heathrow, arriving on Day 16.
