Itinerary

Days 1-3 - London and Sydney

Board your direct flight to Sydney at London Heathrow, touching down early on Day 3. From the airport, you are picked up for the transfer to your hotel, the 5-Star Amora Jamison.

Sydney
Days 4-5 - Sydney Opera House and Sydney city tour

Visit one of Sydney's most iconic sights today, the Sydney Opera House. With its unique sail inspired design and serene waterfront location, you'll learn all about the history of this renowned attraction. Day 5 includes a more comprehensive tour that begins in the historic 'Rocks' district of the city. Here, travel back in time to the birthplace of Sydney, seeing convict-built houses and pubs as well as the very first church constructed in Australia. Continue to the Botanical Gardens in the heart of the city before passing by Parliament House, Hyde Park Barracks and St Mary's Cathedral. Next, make your way to the waterfront area for a walking tour of the harbour and lunch at the Cruising Yacht Club of Australia. Travel through this great city on your way to one of the most famous beaches in the world - Bondi - where you have free time to soak up the laid-back atmosphere of a true surfers' paradise.

If you'd prefer, instead of a Sydney city tour you could book a spot on an optional excursion into the Blue Mountains that includes a journey on the Katoomba Railway.

Sydney
Days 6-7 - Cairns and the Great Barrier Reef

Transfer back to the airport for your internal flight to Cairns. Here you stay for 3 nights at the 5-Star Riley Hotel.

Visit the fabulous Great Barrier Reef on Day 7, a natural wonder hidden beneath the waves. Board your Sliverswift catamaran for a day of adventures at 3 of the most impressive areas of the reef, including the option to go snorkelling with an experienced guide.

Great Barrier Reef
Days 8-10 - Kuranda Scenic Railway and Uluru

Board the Kuranda Scenic Railway today for a journey through the lush green World Heritage Rainforest. See cascading waterfalls and a variety of different birds, fauna and reptiles, before the line terminates at the small mountain village of Kuranda. Back in the big city, transfer to the airport on Day 9 for your flight to Alice Springs. From here, drive to your hotel near magical Uluru, the 4-Star Ayers Rock Resort. This evening, enjoy a 'Sounds of Silence' experience that includes canapés, sparkling wine and a 3-course bush-inspired menu as the sun sets and the stars begin to appear.

The world's largest monolith; on Day 10 admire Uluru at sunrise before heading out into the surrounding landscape to learn more about the region and its indigenous people.

Uluru
Days 11-13 - Alice Springs, The Ghan and Adelaide

From Uluru, transfer to Alice Springs for a night at the 4-Star Crowne Plaza Alice Springs Lasseters. On Day 12, board the iconic Ghan for your epic rail journey to Adelaide. You'll travel in Gold Service, with all your meals, access to the on-board Gold Lounge, and all drinks included during your time on The Ghan. Marvel at the passing views of rural Australia that vary wildly from state to state, admiring traditional outback scenery alongside mighty mountain ranges and coastal stretches. Arriving into Adelaide on Day 13, disembark and transfer to the 4-Star Majestic Roof Garden Hotel.

Day 14 - Wines and wildlife of Adelaide

Head to the Fleurieu Peninsula today, enjoying a picnic lunch overlooking Encounter Bay before taking to the waters for a wildlife-spotting cruise. Back on dry land this afternoon, visit d'Arenberg Winery in the McLaren Vale for a tasting and some time in their sensory cube, inspired by the complexities of wine making. Continue to the eco-friendly Gemtree Winery for a further tasting, accompanied by a vintner's platter.

Days 15-16 - Hong Kong and London

Fly from Adelaide to Hong Kong today then join your connecting flight to London Heathrow, arriving on Day 16.
