We head to Kidderminster by coach to board one of the vintage steam-hauled trains of the Severn Valley Railway. Travelling in restored carriages, we make our way through the countryside of Worcestershire and Shropshire on a round trip to Arley. Later, we continue to medieval Warwick Castle, built by William the Conqueror in 1068. Day 5 - Gloucestershire & Warwickshire Railway

Our Boxing Day excursion takes us to Toddington, where we join the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway for a steam-hauled journey through the Cotswolds. On our return you could go to see Anne Hathaway's cottage, the former home of Shakespeare's wife, on the outskirts of town which dates back to the 15th century. Mary Arden's house, owned by Shakespeare's mother, is also well worth a look. Tonight, we enjoy an early dinner ahead of one of the highlights of our tour, an evening performance at the Royal Shakespeare, or Swan Theatre.
