Or, take the train all the way on a two day rail journey. Starting at London St Pancras, take the Eurostar to Paris Gare du Nord. From Paris Gare du Lyon travel to Lyon St Exupery where you'll spend the night. The next morning take the train from Lyon to Milan, and from Milan to Rome.

Get to know Rome a little better today on your free day in the city. Wander around the historic streets and stop off for an Italian coffee at one of the many pavement cafes. Throw a coin in the Trevi Fountain and shop for souvenirs at the many shops and boutiques. Or, choose one of our optional excursions, available at a supplement, to get to know the city even better.

Enjoy another free day in Rome today and delve a little deeper into this magical city. Walk the winding streets for some of the city's best gelato, and take a late lunch at one of the city's superb restaurants. Check out some of the city's many art galleries and museums for some Rome culture. Or, choose one of our optional excursions.

Day 4 – Rome to Florence

Rome to Florence

This morning, following breakfast in your hotel, you can enjoy some more free time in Rome to do any last-minute shopping or tick off anything on your list you haven't seen yet. Then you can take a slow walk to the train station, or you can choose an optional transfer. From here you'll take the highspeed train, at just under two hours, up through the beautiful Tuscan countryside, all the way to the mesmerising city of Florence. On arrival in Florence, you can walk to your nearby hotel, or choose an optional transfer. Choose between our 4* hotels, on a B&B basis.

Discovering Florence

Enjoy a free day in Florence, the Italian city of art, today. You don't even have to go to a gallery to see and experience the art of Florence, it's everywhere in the architecture and monuments around town, but if you do want to indulge in some art on display in a gallery, this is the place to do it. When you've filled up on art, visit a food market or one of the city's traditional restaurants. Or, choose one of our optional excursions, available at a supplement.

Enjoy a second free day in Florence today and take it easy as you watch local life go by while you relax with an Italian coffee at one of the city's many authentic cafes. Or enjoy a glass of Italian wine at a Florentine bar and soak up the atmosphere of the city. Or, choose one of your optional excursions.

Day 7 – Italy to the UK

Flight from Florence to London

Today your Italian adventure comes to its end when you enjoy a private transfer from your hotel to Florence airport, where you'll take your flight back to the UK.

Rail from Florence to London (2 Days)

Or, enjoy a slow two day train journey. Starting with the train from Florence to Milan, you'll travel from Milan to Montreux where you'll spend the night. The next morning you'll take the train from Montreux to Geneva, from Geneva to Paris Gare du Lyon and from Paris Nord to London St Pancras aboard the Eurostar.
