Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrival in Calgary/Banff

Arrive at Calgary's International airport and board your transfer to the idyllic town of Banff nestled in Banff National Park. Check into your hotel and enjoy the remainder of the day and evening at leisure.

Day 2 - Banff

A day at leisure to enjoy Banff, cradled amidst the soaring, snowy peaks of the Canadian Rockies. It was here that Canada's national park system first began when railway workers discovered the Cave and Basin National Historic site back in 1883. Perhaps take a guided hike along the myriad of trails that depart either from the town, or from the nearby trailheads along the highway, meander along Banff Avenue and enjoy the shops, bars and restaurants that line the street or take a gondola ride to the top of Sulphur Mountain and breathe in that fresh mountain air.

Day 3 - Banff to Jasper including Columbia Icefield Excursion

Depart on your full-day sightseeing tour to Jasper travelling on the Columbia Parkway, said to be one of the most scenic drives in the world. Included is a stop at the incredible Columbia Icefield where an Ice Explorer ride will take you onto the ancient Athabasca Glacier and is followed by a walk on the Glacier SkyWalk - a glass-floored platform extending 30m out over the Sunwapta Canyon. Continue to arrive in Jasper late in the afternoon.

Day 4 - Jasper

Enjoy a day at leisure in the alpine town of Jasper, nestled between soaring mountain peaks, with an abundance of wildlife, beautiful lakes and hiking trails to explore. You could enjoy a thrilling rafting trip down the Athabasca River or enjoy a scenic cruise on the beautiful Maligne Lake.

Day 5 - Rocky Mountaineer Jasper to Kamloops

Board the Rocky Mountaineer train for a spectacular rail excursion from Jasper to Kamloops in SilverLeaf service. This unique daylight service allows you to view some of the most spectacular sights in Western Canada. The route departs the Rocky Mountains through the Kicking Horse Pass.
