Immerse yourself in the glitz and glamour of the 1930's on board the elegant Belmond Northern Belle train to Edinburgh. Enjoy a delicious five-course lunch as you relax in the comfortable carriages. Then explore the bustling city of Edinburgh, including an awe-inspiring evening at the worldfamous Military Tattoo.
Meet your Tour Manager this evening and check into the 4-Star Pullman Hotel in Kings Cross. You may like to arrive earlier and spend some time in London. This evening, we gather to enjoy a welcome drink ahead of dinner.
This morning we board the iconic Northern Belle, bound for Edinburgh. Northern Belle is a superbly luxurious 1930s-style experience. On board we enjoy a sumptuous four course meal, with wine. The cuisine is excellent and uses only the freshest of seasonal British produce, all created by the on-board chef and his team. The train provides its own forms of on board entertainment, including live music and a talented magician.
We arrive later in the afternoon and walk to our hotel, the Radisson Blu Edinburgh (or similar).
Today we enjoy a guided walking tour of Edinburgh, taking in the city's main sights, including the Old Town and Royal Mile.
This evening we enjoy the spectacle of the Edinburgh Military Tattoo. The annual festival incorporates fantastic performers, military bands and brilliant fireworks displays for an inspirational evening.
Your morning is spent exploring the Royal Yacht Britannia with an audio tour. The ship is formerly the seaborne home of the Royal Family. HMY Britannia has sailed over 1 million miles across the globe, transporting the Royal family in luxury style from glittering state visits to relaxing family holidays.
This afternoon or morning, you are free to explore Edinburgh further. Perhaps make the ascent to Arthur's Seat. This ancient volcano offers magnificent views across the city and the surrounding area. This evening we enjoy a night of traditional Scottish festivities, the Great Scots Night.
After a morning at leisure in Edinburgh we return to London, aboard the Belmond Northern Belle, enjoying a farewell meal on board. After breakfast on Day 6 the tour concludes and you are free to depart at your leisure.
