Day 2 - Christmas Day

Today is Christmas, and it is a day with a focus on relaxation, festivities, and food. This morning, we indulge in a celebratory Bucks Fizz breakfast before a free morning. Why not relax in one of the traditional lounges the hotel has to offer?

We are treated to a glass of champagne served in the hotel's elegant Lansdown room. Lunch is served with all the trimmings in a traditional English style. The rest of your day is free after lunch. Perhaps take a stroll around the beautiful parkland that surrounds the hotel, before we gather this evening for a light buffet dinner.

Bath Christmas Markets
Day 3 - The Avon Valley Railway and the SS Great Britain on Boxing Day

After breakfast, we head to Bristol, where we set off on a tour of the magnificent SS Great Britain. This sophisticated passenger steamship was designed by famed engineer Isambard Kingdom Brunel, and was used to transport passengers all around the world. Our next excursion is on board the beautiful Avon Valley Railway, which takes us on a short but lovely journey through the delightful surrounds of Bristol. Following our trip, we return to the hotel where we enjoy a final dinner together.

Day 4 - Tour of Bath and Home

Today, we venture to Bath where we embark on a short-guided drive. Bath was founded by the Romans in AD 60 and has been a spa town since its inception, thanks to the health-giving properties of its natural hot springs. Its heyday during the Georgian Era ensured UNESCO World Heritage status for this city that boasts magnificent architecture, most visible in its incredible Roman Baths and the Royal Crescent. Following our excursion, we transfer back to Bailbrook House, where you are then free to depart.
