What’s included

Days 1-2 – London, Fairbanks and Riverboat Discovery

We fly from London Heathrow to Fairbanks via Minneapolis, meeting our local Tour Manager on arrival and then check into our hotel. On Day 2 we set sail on a riverboat tour, taking us along the Chena and Tanana Rivers with expert narration on board. Following the tour, we return to Fairbanks, where you are free to explore. Tonight, we enjoy a behind-the-scenes experience at Trail Breaker Kennel, including a 3-course dinner and the chance to meet sled dogs.

Days 3-4 - Denali National Park

Today we board the historic Denali Star for a scenic journey by rail to Denali National Park before we transfer to our hotel for 2 nights, Denali Bluffs. On Day 4, we set out into the wilderness of Denali National Park for a full-day coach tour that takes us through the rugged landscape of Denali. During our tour, we hope to spot moose, caribou, Dall sheep, wolves, and grizzly bears. Arriving at Backcountry Lodge, we enjoy a buffet-style lunch.

Denali National Park
Days 5-6 - Talkeetna, Kenai Peninsula and Seward

We enjoy a free morning before boarding Alaska Railroad's Denali Star in Gold Star Service to Talkeetna, where we transfer to the Talkeetna Alaska Lodge by coach. We enjoy a visit to the Anchorage Museum on Day 6, before transferring by coach to Mount Alyeska. Here, we board an aerial tram that takes us to the top, scaling 2,300 feet. Relax and admire the stunning views before we continue down the Kenai Peninsula to Seward, and check into our hotel for 2 nights.

Days 7-8 - Wildlife Cruise

Today we try to observe sea otters, sea lions, and puffins during our cruise alongside Kenai Fjords National Park. The rest of the day is yours to explore Seward. On Day 8 we journey to Whittier, enjoying a cruise spotting whales, seals, and bird rookeries before passing through the beautiful Esther Passage. The catamaran enters Harriman Fjord, where we are surrounded by breath-taking mountains and alpine and tidewater glaciers. Before returning to Whittier Harbour, we enter College Fjord and see Surprise Glacier. Later we board the Glacier Discovery to Anchorage.

Kenai National Park
Days 9-10 - On board the MS Nieuw Amsterdam

This morning is free before we board our cruise ship, which will be our home for the next 7 nights. On Day 10, we begin our travels to Hubbard Glacier, one of the largest tidewater glaciers in North America at 76 miles long and 1,200 feet deep.

Hubbard Glacier
Days 11-12 - Glacier Bay National Park

We continue our journey on Day 11 and sail to Glacier Bay National Park, which stretches over 3 million acres and is a real highlight of our journey through the Inside Passage. We stay aboard our boat, keeping watch for local wildlife; humpback whales, harbour seals, and sea otters all call these waters home. On Day 12 we travel to Skagway, where we have free time to explore. Known for its association with Jack London's 1903 novel, 'The Call of the Wild', why not take a stroll along the town's historic boardwalk?

Glacier Bay
Days 13-15 - Juneau, Ketchikan and Inside Passage

Today we visit Juneau, the capital city of Alaska, where we enjoy free time. After breakfast on Day 14 our ship stops at Ketchikan, where we have free time to explore. On our penultimate day on our ship we travel through the Inside Passage to Vancouver.
