Our seven-night cruise is spent on board Norwegian Epic, one of the newest ships in the Norwegian Cruise Lines fleet. Launched in 2010, Norwegian Epic has 19 decks and is over 1,000 feet in length.
Our included accommodation on Norwegian Epic is an inside twin or double bed stateroom on one of the lower decks. All staterooms have a TV, refrigerator, safe and an en suite bathroom with a shower and hairdryer. All feature twin beds, which can be converted into a queen sized bed on request.
The option to upgrade to a higher category of stateroom is available. If you enjoy waking up with a view across the open sea or towards the nearest stretch of coastline, you can upgrade your standard cabin to an Oceanview Stateroom. In addition to the same facilities and amenities of an inside cabin, they also have a generously sized porthole window. Balcony Staterooms are ideal for those who like to enjoy a private drink with a view across the sea. They have the same facilities and amenities as an Inside Stateroom, with the added benefit of floor-to-ceiling glass doors which open up onto your own private balcony. The balcony is big enough for sunbathing or enjoying a room-service meal. Alternatively, treat yourself to extra personal space on board by choosing to upgrade your stateroom to a Mini-Suite, which come with added touches of luxury and pampering. As well as your own private balcony, Mini-Suites have luxury bathrooms and a spacious seating area, as well as all of the amenities and services available in the standard staterooms.
All meals are included during your time on board Norwegian Epic, which operates "freestyle dining". There are two main dining rooms, both offering multi-course buffets with a wonderful range of freshly-prepared options, as well as casual cafés, on-deck grills and barbeques and a 24-hour in-room dining menu. In addition to the included dining choice, you can choose to eat in any of the many and varied 'speciality' restaurants on board (cover charge applies). These restaurants offer varied cuisine and dining styles from across the world. Freestyle Dining means you could eat in a different restaurant every evening during your cruise! Among the 23 dining options on board Norwegian Epic is Spiegel Tent, which presents 'Cirque Dreams and Dinner' - a chance to be entertained as you dine with an opulent extravaganza. There is also the Wasabi Sushi Bar, O'Sheehan's Neighbourhood Bar & Grill serving American classics, and Moderno Churrascaria, a Brazilian-style barbeque restaurant, as well as a huge variety of other tempting options.
There is also a fantastic variety of bars and lounges to suit all tastes, including a SVEDKA Ice Bar. Inspired by the original ice hotels in Scandinavia, SVEDKA is one of only 14 ice bars in the world, and the only true ice bar at sea.
Leisure and Sport
Norwegian Epic boasts a superb range of sports and leisure facilities for you to enjoy. You could begin the day with a few laps of the jogging track or with a work out in the state-of-the-art 'Pulse' Fitness Centre. You can make use of the facilities at the Sports Complex or enjoy the exhilarating water park rides and slides at the Aqua Park - which includes the 200-foot Epic Plunge. Alternatively you could simply choose to relax in one of the two pools and six hot tubs.
Spa and Beauty
The Mandara Spa offers the perfect peaceful space to relax and reinvigorate. A full range of massages and spa treatments are available (payable locally). For extra relaxation, there's a sauna, steam room and rest area.
Activities and Entertainment
Test your Bridge-playing skills in the dedicated Card Room, or head to the on-board Casino for a flutter on a variety of games, including Roulette, Black Jack and Poker, as well as a selection of slot machines. Visit the Stardust Theatre for nightly Broadway- and Vegas-style productions, comedy and magic acts, and the incredible Cirque Bijou - a fearless troupe which includes gymnasts and acrobats.
